A classic 3cy ('second summer') Lesser Black-backed Gull showing clean slate-grey mantle and scapulars and scattered new median coverts, contrasting with older browner and bleached feathers. Bill with yellow base but extensive black area towards tip. Legs yet to develop any yellow colouration.
