Adult intermedius trapped at Throckmorton Landfill in January 1997. In right-hand photo note blackish mantle compared with adjacent graellsii. In left hand photo note lack of contrast between primaries and wing-coverts, single mirror (on p10), and prominent white tips to p1 - p7. Shade of upperparts approaches in blackness that of nominate fuscus but extent of white in primary tips exceeds that of typical fuscus.
