Adult intermedius. Compare blackish mantle with adjacent graellsii. Upperparts nevertheless discernibly 'less black' than base of primaries (c.f. almost comparably black on nominate fuscus). Note that a few graellsii may approach intermedius in the darkness of the upperparts.
