A second-summer Mediterranean Gull, which visited the Black-headed Gull colony at Dosthill during late March and April 2006 and was observed displaying. Note the black barrring across the primary tips, which characterises birds in their second-winter and second-summer plumages. Earlier in March, an adult was observed at the same locality.
