A 3cy individual with dark-centred tertials and extensive dark centres remaining in coverts. In lower photo note four new inner primaries (p4 still not fully grown), p5 and p6 missing, and old p7 to p10. Underwing still sullied with sparse brown streaking. Black tail band contrasts with clean white upper tail and tail-coverts. Compare this typically plumaged 'mid-summer' 3cy individual with assumed 4cy bird present during same period.
