Photo Gallery Index

Large white-headed gulls (LWHGs) are not always easy to identify. In addition to the complexities resulting from phenotypic variation, individual variation, wear and moult, the existence of hybrids has to be included when attempting to identify any 'difficult' LWHG. This page includes photos of gulls which I have not been able to identity with confidence.
